Bassel is the founder of Odyssey East and a full-time U.S. equities and options trader with over a decade of experience in the financial markets. His journey began in 2012, trading forex, where he developed a deep understanding of market behavior, technical analysis, and trader psychology.

Before becoming a full-time trader, Bassel built a successful career in finance as an International Relationship Manager for a global bank, specializing in wealth management and investment solutions for high-net-worth clients. He later advanced to work in Canada as an Investment Dealer with a US full-service brokerage firm, gaining hands-on experience in portfolio management, equity trading, and client advisory services.

In 2019, Bassel shifted his focus exclusively to U.S. equities and options trading, refining a results-driven approach centered on discipline, strategy, and consistency. By 2024, he transitioned into full-time trading and founded Odyssey East — a platform dedicated to helping new and intermediate traders build profitable, sustainable trading.

With a rare combination of professional finance experience and real-world trading success, Bassel’s mission is to shorten the learning curve for aspiring traders by teaching the methods, mindset, and risk management principles that create long-term success in the markets.
